Everyone loves an adventure

What’s that famous saying “find something you love and you’ll never work a day” or summat? Aye. Here’s a gallery from a recent wee busman’s holiday to Orkney, combined with a little shoot for Samara and Colin, who get married on the mainland later this year. #orkyay

I’ll be at the next Wedding Collective Market Late at The Lighthouse. Visit this wee Love My Dress post for the full bants. It’s on July 6 from 5-8pm so come say hello and we can natter about your nuptials. More info and tickets here.

In other news, there’s also this thing happening – the G.L.U.E mail art exhibition. Edinburgh Collage Collective are hosting an exhibition of international collage art at The Tent Gallery, from 22 June, featuring over 120 collages from 60 collage makers. Full details here.

And apart from that I’m deep into wedding photo season and we’ve had some amazing experiences with our couples so far this year. Thank you all so much for having us along to record your big days, it’s a real honour to be a little part of them and it keeps us smiling.

We’re also using the dinner downtime part of the day to work on a little personal crafty creative project, based on masks, which is a right hoot. You’ll find them all on insta and facebook. I’ll make a web gallery of them all at the end of the season.

Oh and a wee heads up for brides – our pals and some-time collaborators, Those Were The Days Vintage, have just opened up a new showroom dedicated solely to bridalwear. Their stuff is stunning. It’s right next door to their Vintage store on St Stephens Street. Go say hi to Claire and get some fine patter along with beautiful dresses.

We recently shot a little ‘festival’ themed bridal shoot which I’m still working on (sorry team, I know I know) but here’s a couple of images from the shoot. Thanks to Makeup by Cori, Robbie from Arthaushair, Rachael at Hedgerow for the beautiful fresh and dried flowers, Mack at Colstoun, Scott and Jude for helping out (and the Dress You Up dance-off) and our gorgeous ladies Ruth Burgoyne and Tia Mann. More soon, promise.
