I loved shooting this wedding. Cheryl and Scott are a properly stylish and really lovely awesome couple so it was a complete pleasure to work with them. Thanks to Fiona Higgins for shooting with me too. The couple have a real sense of style and their home is just amazing, full of rich colours and beautiful vintage pieces. It’s no surprise that their wedding was filled with these things and of course lots of music too.
Cheryl’s pupils entertained outside the church after the ceremony playing music and dancing. Their lovely dog Ruby even came along to celebrate the day too! Scott’s grandad was his Best Man. Their wedding featured lots of DIY details and they have a great bunch of talented friends who helped out with everything from the stunning florals to lovely handcrafted favours and their own beer!
The couple had a mustard and blue colour theme through their flowers and outfits with little details like feathers in their decorations and buttonholes. They had a bunch of old vinyl records as their guest book for guests to sign with a chalk pen.
Seton Collegiate Church is a really beautiful venue with lovely gardens and a wild flower pathway. We took a walk around the grounds of Carberry Tower too, possibly confusing the management team by stopping around the bins (they are housed by a huge pale blue arched doorway and some scabby walls…I LOVE scabby walls as a backdrop, lush textures!!) and shunning some of the more obvious backdrops!!!
So so happy to share this lovely day on the amazing Love My Dress blog. Happy happy days!
